Applications

Automatic release of shower water overheated by sun or steam tracing in safety and eye shower stations, providing scald protection for operating personnel.

Operating principle

A wax thermostat-actuated valve opens when the water inside heats up to between 98 °F and 100 °F, and opens fully at 105 °F. When the water inside cools to 95 °F, the valve closes automatically.

Double protection. In case of valve failure or dirt clogging, a secondary fuse plug melts at around 120 °F to provide double protection and absolute safety to plant personnel. It also serves as an easily visible failure indicator.

Design features

  • Double protection, absolute safety
  • Modulating discharge saves water
  • All stainless steel valve
  • Compact and light weight; easy installation
